The AMA (NSW) Creative Doctors Network (CDN) was created in October 2007 to bring together ALL doctors, inclusive of whatever their creative interests, for the purposes of networking, showcasing their artistic work and collaborating on new projects.
Every type of medical practitioner is represented including general practitioners, psychiatrists, physicians, surgeons, paediatricians, obstetricians, anaesthetists, residents, registrars, locums, administrators, academics, professors, retired doctors and medical students.
Within CDN there is a rich diversity of creative pursuits. Although doctor-writers are the largest sub-group, every art form is represented including music, painting, photography, sculpting, acting, filmmaking, singing, theatre, costume design, textile art and others.
CDN meetings are held at the Conference Centre at AMA House in St Leonards.
