Practice Managers' Network
The Practice Managers' Network has been developed to assist doctors in private practice and their practice managers to keep abreast of changes to Awards and other industrial terms and conditions, documents, employment entitlements and other IR/HR and medico-legal considerations.
The Fair Work Act 2009 has created a new legislative framework for federal workplace relations superseding the Workplace Relations Act 1996. While certain provisions of the legislation commenced on 1 July 2009 (most notably changes to unfair dismissal laws) further operational changes commenced as of 1 January 2010.
For only $88.00 (incl. GST) per annum financial members* can belong to AMA NSW’s Practice Managers' Network. Non-financial members may also join the Practice Managers' Network however at a higher subscription rate.
Subscribers will receive for both the state and federal system:
- A quarterly newsletter.
- Update circulars as amendments to the relevant Awards as they occur.
- Quick reference wage rates sheets set by the Industrial Relations Commission.
- Updates on wages and new classification structures from the Australian Fair Pay Commission.
- OH&S updates.
- AMA NSW upcoming events.
- Articles on industrial and medico-legal issues.
