Starting in Private Practice Seminar

Starting in Private Practice Seminar

Why pay thousands of dollars for advice on establishing a private practice that you can get from the AMA for $100?

AMA (NSW) in-house staff have many years of experience in advising medical practitioners on matters relating to establishing and running a private practice. In addition, we have commercial partners in the accounting and financial services who work with medical practitioners on a daily basis.

To access this unrivalled expertise come to the Staring in Private Practice seminar on Saturday 28 April.

This workshop is designed for:

  • Registrars who are finishing specialty training and considering their options
  • Doctors (GPs and specialists) who are setting up a private practice for the first time, or becoming involved for the first time in managing a private practice

Note: Two other seminars (designed for practice managers and for doctors with experience in running a private practice respectively) have been scheduled later in 2012.

Expert presenters provide attendees with information on:

  • Financially structuring your Medical Practice
  • Considerations when buying your practice premises
  • Financing your new practice, or going into an existing practice
  • Employing, Managing and Terminating Staff in your Practice
  • Medical practitioners’ experiences in setting up their own practices
  • Doctor contracts in private practice- what you need to know
  • Risk management in private practice
