What doctors at this hospital are saying

What do you value most about your hospital?

“The teamwork attitude, everyone working together and helping out. All the JMOs and registrars work together really well.”

“Parking is very easy.”

“The community vibe at the hospital. You are very much not ‘just another intern’ and are very much part of the team. As soon as you show interest in an area the whole team, not just exclusive to doctors, gets you involved and supports you working towards your goals.”

If you could change three things at your hospital what would they be?

“1. Patient to doctor ratio on gen med teams. 2. Cover for ADOs/leave. 3. JMO unit – poor rostering.”

“Pagers instead of work phones. Better communication between nurses and doctors. More staff to cover for when people are off sick – including ADO cover.”

“Payrole mistakes – its not that they wont pay OT its the constant mistakes. Terrible cafeteria that closes to early. More staff/less rostered and unrostered overtime.”
